We have two upcoming 2018 AQHA foals for your next arena prospect for the ranch, reining, cow horse or AQHA arenas. The “Cowboy” babies love to lope and hunt the stop.

HC Bostons Rose “Frankie” 

This foal will be N/N for HERDA, GBED, PSSM1, MH and HYPP through sire and dam. “Frankie” was an athletic and handy ranch horse until an unknown inury sidelined her working career down on the Hat Creek Ranch in Wheatland Wyoming. We are anxiously awaiting her 2018 foal sired by Playboys Luv Chics for that blend of cow, working and racing lines. With any luck, we will get that dun paint job and some chrome to complete the package!

 

CRR Sonita Reyolena “Pumpkin”

This is a really nice mare that we are proud to say we bred and raised and was started under saddle. So nice, that we decided she should keep the legacy of her sire, Sonitas Reyson, alive. Sonitas Reyson (unshown due to injury) was a son of NCHA million dollar sire Sonitas Last. Sonitas Reyson has sired working ranch horses, AQHA Versatility Ranch Horses and Barrel Futurity money earners. CRR Sonita Reyolena’s dam is our Nic O Lena Bar, a fabulous daughter of NCHA Futurity Finalist Dox Warbler (X Doc O’lena). No holes in this gal’s pedigree: She is bred to watch a cow and she is a born producer. We have loved her babies by Playboys Luv Chics so much, we keep repeating the breeding. This mare is a HERDA carrier, clean for the other four genetic diseases.

Snackbox x Showtime Dually

The first Snackbox Dually babies have been nothing short of fantastic and are showing their true potential as super good minded saddle horses and future performers. Needless to say, we can’t wait for the 2018s! “Snack” was just coming into his own as a cutter before turned stellar mounted shooting horse and we think his babies could go in a variety of directions.

CRR Chics Luv Sweets “Bella”

Another one of our home raised gals, an own daughter of Playboys Luv Chics! “Bella” was purchased by a friend of ours and started under saddle, introduced to cattle and to roping. Sadly, she sustained a stifle injury that ended her career as a saddle horse. We had the opportunity to welcome her back to the Coyote Ridge herd as a great broodmare to cross on our Snackbox Dually! This should make for a super good minded, versatile cross for the ranch and arena….and maybe just maybe some color to boot! This 2018 AQHA foal will be N/N for HERDA, PSSM1, GBED, MH and HYPP through sire and dam.

 

Nic O Lena Bar “Nicolenabar”

This gal is one of our original broodmares. We purchased her as she is a granddaughter of the immortal Doc O’lena (through her sire, NCHA Futurity Finalist, Dox Warbler) and her babies never fail to impress. They have all been very people-oriented just like her, super correct and super athletic and will watch a cow. And did I mention, she’s a granddaughter of Doc O’lena?! Her oldest Coyote Ridge gelding spent time in the feedlot and got pretty handy at his job, one filly made a big trip to Texas, one gelding is over in Saskatchewan with his youth owner/trainer working on the ranch (Mom borrows the same gelding to do dressage demos and clinics with). If you are interested in a something a little older out of this mare, we have that too!

 

Sweet Snow Creek “Angel”

What can we say about this mare other than her babies are simply amazing! What she perhaps lacks in up close pedigree she more than makes up for in the look, substance and good mindedness that she passes on to her foals. AND–guaranteed color which truly is the icing on the cake. This mare has one of her sons standing at stud, one gelding is a successful rope horse in Manitoba High School Rodeo, two geldings with ranching, rodeo and cow horse families in Sasktachewan and we were able to welcome her filly CRR Chics Luv Sweets back to the herd! We 100% believe in this mare’s babies!

 

CRR Little Luvr Girl “Luvie”

We adored this gals momma so much that, after having “Luvie” started under saddle, we decided she should replace her dam in the broodmare band. If you like “Little Peppy” breeding, this baby by “Snack” and out of “Luvie should be right up your ally and should go a variety of directions to suit your fancy. Cut, rein, cowhorse, ranch work….

“Dually” is owned by our friend and business partner Candice Lonsdale of Gull Lake, SK. We believe this is one of the best cutting bred stallions in Canada. Zero holes in the pedigree with some of the biggest names and earners in the industry on his papers. He is an NCHA money earner and COA earner with a limited show career. He’s now spending his time as a ranch horse and breeding stallion, producing the next generations of champions.

La Pequena Quixote “Queen”

Sired by NCHA Hall of Fame stallion Quixote Mac, “Queen” is one of those mares that you wish you could have ten that are just like her.  Not only was she a dang handy ranch horse, she’s proving to be an amazing producer.  This mare is brains, beauty and function all wrapped up in one stout and correct package.

“Nic” is owned by Magnum V Performance Horses of Neepawa, MB. We just love the reined cow horse pedigree on this guy! Sadly, an injury left him unable to be started and shown.  Thankfully, he’s proving to be an excellent sire.

CS Wright On Roxy “Roxy”

We purchased Roxy as a weanling from her breeder…she was love at first sight!  We absolutely loved her pedigree being a granddaughter of Lenas Wright On and Hotrodder Disco.  Our plans to show her in reined cow horse events were put to rest after an unknown injury sidelined her in training.  Her first foal is being enjoyed out in beautiful Banff AB.  A gelding out of her and sired by Playboys Luv Chics is out working on a ranch and feedlot in SK.  We are excited for her “Nic” babies that are out there and this 2018 AQHA foal to come!
